Kawakawa description. Kawakawa is a pretty coastal shrub with heart shaped long stemmed green leaves and an edible fruit with a distinctive tropical taste and contrasting peppery seeds. The heart shaped leaves remind us of the preciousness of ourselves, the land and our native ecosystems.
The leaves are hand cut from silver plate, filed, drilled, sanded, stamped and attached with gently curved sterling silver wire and jump rings. The central leaf can be Sterling Silver, or translucent red perspex with a silver backing.
