Kawakawa is a pretty coastal shrub with heart shaped long stemmed green leaves and an edible fruit with a distinctive tropical taste and contrasting peppery seeds. The heart shaped leaves remind us of the preciousness of ourselves, the land and our native ecosystems. The leaves are hand cut from copper plate, filed, drilled, sanded, and stamped before the red colour is applied. Each leaf is hand cut from silver plate, filed, drilled, sanded, stamped and attached with a jump ring.
The chain is a fine belcher style and is 450mm long.
