Ferns are an iconic part of our native forest heritage. These pieces are modelled after the Blechnum fern which is a beautiful fern most often seen when walking along tracks in native and also in exotic forested areas. The making process involves hand cutting plate silver with a fret saw around each curve, followed by sanding. These pieces have a satin finish overlaid with a contrasting vein pattern. The cut-out fern leaf contains a riveted brass inset.
