The impulse to make these silver buds came from a desire to create a three-dimensional form to represent a form that contains or holds. Each bud is hand-cut from pure silver plate, stamped, hammered and folded, soldered closed and buffed to give a satin finish. One variation drops vertically from a stem and the other lies horizontal, in line with the chain.
